Building and Construction Design
This course introduces students to the production and interpretation of construction design and drawings. Students will learn basic design principles and produce two-dimensional technical drawings and three-dimensional models manually and using drafting software.
Digital Design
This course explores the commercial aspects of art. Techniques include freehand drawing, lettering, painting and computer-enhancement for commercial advertising, posters and illustrations.
Early Childhood

Food
Food course develops students’ awareness of the important link between food, health and well-being and the importance of safe food handling whilst developing practical cooking skills to create healthy budget conscious food.
Hospitality
Hospitality covers all three years of NCEA with the opportunity for students to develop confidence in all areas of Hospitality.
Graphics
This Graphics course allows students to develop an understanding of design and visual communication through exploring and presenting design ideas across a range of different contexts. It allows them to develop freehand and instrumental drawings skills, and teaches them how to enhance the presentation of their design ideas.
Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical engineering is the study of physical machines that may involve force and movement. It is an engineering branch that combines engineering physics and mathematics principles with materials science, to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems.
Soft Materials (Textiles)
This course investigates the use of a range of fabrics and techniques where students have an element of freedom when designing the concept ideas for the items/garments that they will produce.
Soft Materials also gives students the opportunity to experience and enter into various secondary school competitions where they showcase their talent.
