Literacy aims to develop students' ability to read, write, speak and listen in a way that lets us communicate effectively and make sense of the world.

Media Studies

This course helps students to understand what media are, the relationships between the various actors in a media environment—including technologies, institutions, policies, and regulations, producers, content, and audiences—and the media’s role in larger processes and fields such as government, finance, globalization, and representation.

Junior English

Our year 9 and 10 courses cover reading, writing, presenting, and response to texts. We expose our students to different text types throughout the year in preparation for senior English. These texts incorporate novels, poetry, short stories, films, and many others in order to understand the world around us.

Senior English

We have two courses for each year level. These courses offer a range of achievement standards that align with the needs of our students. Each teacher in our English team is able able to structure these courses to suit the requirements and abilities of each student.
